History
We are a new studio serving Alameda and the greater Bay Area through high quality instruction and personal connection. Leela Yoga was opened in the historic Grand Station railroad building in July of 2013 by long time yoga instructor Beth Zygielbaum. It's a lovely airy space with natural light pouring in through the numerous windows and skylights. For more info on the history of the building, please see our website. The studio was opened with the intention of being a place where students can practice in a way that benefits them as individuals as well as forming a sense of community among practitioners. To this end, the studio hosts social events and also participates in many Alameda community events such as street fairs, farmers markets, parades, and charity events that give back to Alameda.
