Executive chef and owner Pedro Robin moved here from Brazil in 1998, and decided to give Berkeley a little taste of Brazil in what may be the most colorful building in town. Since 2000, his food has been featured in National Geographic and on Eye on the Bay, and his cilantro-garlic sauce is about to be bottled and sold. In short, the Tri-Tip Steak sandwich and other Brazilian delicacies, made on bread baked especially for the cafe each day, may be worth a try.
