History
The Boys & Girls Club of Hollywood has worked hard for over 75 years providing after-school program activities to thousands of at-risk students. Our organization was founded by Mrs. Earl Gilmore of the Assistance League who conducted an after-school program for boys in a two-room building above a garage. The thriving program expanded with the addition of girls in 1986. In 1998, we purchased our main site facility featuring an arts studio, music room, gym, teen center, and learning center. Satellite school sites opened in 2004 at West Hollywood Elementary and at Van Ness Elementary in 2007.
