Dr. Bowen is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist and Fellowship trained Pediatric Ophthalmologist and Adult Strabismus Surgeon who arrived in Redding, CA, in July 2005 to begin solo private practice. After completing his Ophthalmology Surgical Training at the University of Cincinnati, Dr. Bowen completed a fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology at the world renowned Wilmer Eye Institute of the Johns Hopkins University Hospital and brought the expertise he learned there to Redding and Northern California. Dr. Bowen has been providing eye care for the entire family ever since. Patients of all ages find a caring, professional environment in Dr. Bowen's office where all issues pertaining to the eyes and visual health are evaluated promptly and courteously. Dr. Bowen is a Board Certified Pediatric and General Ophthalmologist and the only doctor North of Sacramento to offer adjustable suture eye muscle surgery (strabismus surgery). All patients are welcome and we care for all members of the family from newborns onward.
