History
Our roots are in hospitality, but our true love is bread. Cadoro was founded by two brothers-in-law in 1990 to bake bread for the La Scala restaurants. Our original Santa Monica bakery quickly grew to provide bread to other local restaurants, eventually offering bread through local retailers and our own stand at the Santa Monica Farmer's Market. In 207, we expanded to our current bakery in Inglewood. The new facility didn't just increase our capacity, it allowed us to refine our techniques and start baking sourdough. Today, Cadoro specializes in sourdough, ciabatta and other artisan breads, baked fresh every day and delivered by a fleet of trucks and vans (sadly, the Saab has long been sold). Our bread is served by hundreds of restaurants and catering companies, and is available in retail markets throughout LA and Orange Counties.
Specialties
You can't bake perfect bread every time. But you sure can try. For three decades, we've been dedicated to that pursuit, making the little steps into our biggest obsession and throwing ourselves into the art of the dough. It's not about getting one good loaf and calling it a day, but being able to bring our community the best bread week in and week out, so your family is brought together by flavor. As the sun comes up over Los Angeles each day, we rise to the occasion. Our bread is made with organic flour and our own sourdough starter, for an open airy crumb and delicious flavor. Find Cadoro at the Santa Monica Sunday Farmers Market, local grocers, or get it delivered fresh every Sunday. Order online at our website for home delivery or pickup at our bakery.
