History
We started as The Japanese Congregational Church in downtown Santa Barbara in 1913. The first English services were started after WWII and the church changed its name to Bethany Congregational Church in 1958. The church moved to its present location on Hope Avenue in 1966.
Specialties
We are a Protestant Christian church that has two worship services every Sunday from 10:30-11:30, one in Japanese and one in English. We also have Bible studies and other activities for Japanese and English speakers.
