SpecialtiesThe Beaumont Early Head Start program is a no-cost comprehensive early childhood preschool program for children 0 to 3 years of age, including children with special needs and pregnant women. (Please see our Beaumont Head Start program for older children, 3 to 5 years of age.) The Early Head Start program provides quality services to promote healthy patterns of growth and development and lays a foundation for social and emotional competence for school success. The program is family focused, founded on the premise that parents are the child's first and most important teacher. Children participate in a variety of developmentally appropriate learning activities, within a structured and stimulating environment and will also receive developmental, medical, dental, vision, hearing and nutrition screenings with appropriate follow-up services. Healthy meals and snacks are also provided.
