History
Bank of the Orient was founded by Ernest L. Go, member of a multi-generation international banking family, with the mission of serving small businesses and the individuals living and working in vibrant local communities. Bank of the Orient, the first Asian-American owned bank launched in California since World War II, opened its headquarters to the public in 1971 in the heart of the San Francisco financial district. Bank of the Orient has established itself as a relationship bank with a strong tradition of customer service. Our aim is to provide friendly, personalized service and affordable, quality products to our personal and business banking customers. At Bank of the Orient, we are committed to serving the diverse and dynamic communities of the Bay Area with convenient neighborhood locations and multilingual staff.
