HistoryWhen we met in rehab, both at the lowest points in our lives, we bonded over our love of movies. Previously, Richie worked in advertising and commercial production in LA and NY. Ben had come up in the world of documentaries and news crews in N. Carolina. We both ruined our careers due of crippling heroin, crystal meth and prescription opiate addictions. Richie went in and out of psych wards and jail. Ben drove a satellite van into a bridge and got shipped off to rehab in Los Angeles. Once in rehab, we started to put together enough sober time to work together at a boutique ad agency in Culver City where we helped them develop an in-house production studio. Suddenly, we were laid off because that company couldn't stay profitable. So we had a choice: either get jobs somewhere else or open our own shop. We knew we could create something amazing if we stuck together, so we did, and in early 2017 we used our last paychecks from that job to start our own film studio. We called it JUNK.SpecialtiesWe create all types of content: from web ads to music videos, from social media videos to mini-documentaries. We have 20+ years of combined experience in advertising and film production throughout Los Angeles, North Carolina, New York City and beyond.
