The Town Council of Apple Valley, Calif., is elected every four years. It consists of five members, with the mayor serving as presiding officer at all meetings. In addition to its major duty of governing the town, it also sits as the Apple Valley Redevelopment Agency and the Apple Valley Community Resource Foundation. The regular town council meetings are held on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month. Special meetings are posted more than 24-hours in advance. Citizen participation is a vital aspect of the decision-making process in the town, and residents and business operators are encouraged to attend town council meetings, and to get involved in issues that affect the community. The Town Council of Apple Valley meetings are held in the Town Hall Council Chambers.
