History
I earned my degree in music at UC Berkeley and have, in addition to running my own music studio, taught in various after-school programs, including The Crowden School, Starland Music School, East Bay Waldorf School, Saint Joseph's The Worker School while occasionally working as a choir accompanist.
Specialties
I specialize in private lessons in flute and piano. I have over twenty years experience teaching flute, recorder, and piano in group and individual settings, starting in my native Sweden. I have over the years taught students ranging from 3 to 73 years old. I have developed a curriculum tailored for students of all ages and levels. The curriculum includes method books (Piano Pronto/ Trevor Wye), theory, sight reading, tone production, repertoire, rhythm, games, and lots of fun duets. I also offers biannual recitals in my home studio. The atmosphere is very relaxed, supportive and casual.
