History
In 2010 Abad Mancia Martial Arts was established in a garage by Sensei Jayson Mancia and Professor Angie Abad. Truly a family affair, the husband and wife taught their young son both of their family styles. The 4 year old son caught on quick as both styles blended harmoniously. More family members, friends and neighbors joined the class. As the ohana (family) grew, the students began entering traditional, grappling and mma tournaments. Abad Mancia also began performing in the community at festivals, schools and even a movie! In 2013, Professor Angie Abad, a third generation dancer, began sharing her family's Hula and Tahitian. Maileilani Ohana Hula was born! Students enjoy culture, dance and crafts. To date, Abad Mancia and Maileilani Ohana Hula support many events, festivals and tournaments. They also host their own events such as Gathering of Champions Open Martial Arts Tournament and Annual Hoike and Luau! We invite you to enjoy culture, fitness & fun with our ohana!
