A group of Albany parents created this spacious school with two play yards in 1937 with the idea that a school run by parents would allow them to participate more in their children's development.
Parents with children in the morning program tend to start out attending three days per week and may later transition to a five-day program. In the morning, parents work with the school director and head teacher, helping with art, cooking and other activities.
Parents in the afternoon program may select either a three- or five-day program, and are allowed to enroll their children in both sessions if there is space.
The school admits children 3 years through kindergarten age, and it is licensed to have 24 children in the classroom at a time.
