The Lions Club is an international organization that claims 45,000 clubs and more than 1.35 million members. The Albany Lions Club meets on Thursdays at 7pm at the Denny's on San Pablo Avenue in El Cerrito. The Lions have contributed to everything from Little League scoreboards and benches on Albany Hill to gang prevention and leadership training for high school students. The group also hosts an annual pancake breakfast on the 4th of July.
