The Acme Bread Company is a local bakery that sells handmade bread such as baguettes, rolls, croissants, pastries and croutons. They have sourdough and sweet bread that is made fresh each day, as well as multi-grain and walnut loaves. All of the bread is baked in a brick oven with steam humidifiers and a revolving slab that helps produce its texture. They were also one of the pioneers of the Bay Area's "Bread Revolution," which led to the artisan bread movement.
