Adult Children of Alcoholics Dysfunctional Families (ACA) is a Twelve Step, Twelve Tradition program that offers support and healing to individuals who grew up in dysfunctional homes. They provide a safe and nonjudgmental environment for sharing experiences and addressing the lasting effects of abuse, neglect, and trauma from childhood. Through their program, ACA aims to help individuals identify and heal core trauma, overcome shame and abandonment, and become their own loving parents.
With a global community that continues to grow, ACA offers resources such as literature, meetings (both in-person and online), and volunteer opportunities for those interested in getting involved. Their mission is to provide a path to recovery and show that healing is possible for adult children of alcoholics and dysfunctional families.
