St. John Lutheran Church E.L.C.A. originated over 50 years ago. According to Pastor Carl Bernal, about 33 years ago the church moved to its current location because the church leaders preferred the diversity in the area. The church offers a children's program, as well as a Confirmation preparation class that features in-depth studies and field trips. The church also provides outreach opportunities such as sponsoring orphans in Uganda, building houses in Mexico, and contributing to the local food bank. Organizations the church supports include Hope 4 Kids International, Habitat for Humanity, and the Windsor Palms Convalescent Center.
