Ouachita County Medical Center is a nonprofit facility governed by a Board of Directors. Its active medical staff specialties include Ob-Gyn, general surgery, internal medicine, pathology, radiology, oral and maxillofacial surgery, opthamologist, urology, hematology/oncology and a number of family practice and general practice physicians. The medical center recently became involved in the Rural Hospital Educational & Telemedicine Program. Fiberoptics, cameras, microphones and monitors are housed in the W.K. Green Conference and Education Center. This links them directly to the University of Arkansas Medical Sciences Department. It is fully licensed by the state of Arkansas, and the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health Care Organizations accredits all its services. Its home health, hospice and chemical dependency programs are also individually accredited. Ouachita County Medical Center is headquartered in Camden, Ark.
