Precision Surgery Center
The bad news is that four out of five Americans will have an attack of back or neck pain during their lifetime. If you have a back pain attack, you are also four times more likely to have a recurrence. Other people can suffer from a variety of pain symptoms that require a high level of specialist care to diagnose what may be causing the pain symptom, and then how to treat the problem to relieve the symptoms. Sadly, those with back or neck pain problems, and those with a other complex pain syndromes, may have to navigate a very fragmented health system, going to one location to see a physician specialist, another location for diagnostic tests, a third location for therapy, another location for surgery, or another pharmacy location to pick up a prescription. Within the field of spine care, for example, some patients need ongoing treatment for pain symptoms which would otherwise require a spine center to refer out the patient to another group that specializes in complex pain management. The good news is that as of January 1, 2014, three specialty groups — Precision Spine Care, Dr. Jonathan Blau and Texas Pain — combined their resources to create a regional center of excellence for spine care and pain management under the name Precision Spine Care.
