History
The library originally opened in the crypt of the St. Paul's Episcopal Church. It moved to the courthouse in 1939. It moved again to its current site in 1950.
Specialties
The Jackson County (W. A. Billingsley Memorial) Library seeks to enlighten and entertain all of its patrons, regardless of their backgrounds, by providing materials that enable them to have free access to boundless information and opportunities to expand their limitless imagination in a welcoming and inviting environment.
