Hines Wood Fiber Recovery & Process removes and recycles accumulated wood waste. Recycled wood waste is used as alternative fuel for boiler systems; gravel for roadbeds; horticultural materials such as potting soil, mulch and compost bulking agents; nurseries; and landscapes. Since 1993, Hines has diverted more than 100,000 tons of wood waste from landfills through its recycling processes. Plants using wood waste as boiler fuel realize substantial savings in processing operations and increased co-generation activities. A number of jobs are created through wood waste recovery, both directly and indirectly, with more to come in the future. Wood waste recovery creates sources of revenue from landfill materials and provides savings by reducing landfill fees. Hines Wood Fiber Recovery & Process is located in Prescott, Ark.
