Engraving is a beautiful art form that can personalize, embellish and add value to your firearm.Being formally trained by some of America's Master Engravers and being a Certified Master Bench Jeweler myself, I truly enjoy using my many years of custom jewelry making skills and the excitement of seeing a design come to life. I am looking forward to working with you on designing the layout and choiceing the style of hand engraving on your gun. In the next few pages you will find just a few examples of my work. Barry Golden's childhood was spent on a farm in eastern Arkansas cultivating beans and cotton. He was shown how to make a silver and turquoise ring in 1974 and then began to cultivate his art of making jewelry. He operated his first store in Jonesboro, Arkansas in 1974. After leaving the University of Arkansas to make jewelry, he was recruited to be the chief repairman of a large jewelry chain in the Oklahoma City Metro area. He was then asked to run Wal-Mart's jewelry repair center until 1995. When relocating to Northwest Arkansas he established Golden's Designer Jewelry were he did entirely custom, in-house jewerly repair, watch repair, appraisals and retail. Barry uses his years of experience, God - given talent, state of the art laser and scope equipment to create jewelry one-of-a-kind master pieces. Over the past few years he has expanded this talent and enjoyment of hunting and guns into firearms hand engraving. He continues to train under Master engravers every year to expand his knowledge of the hand engraving arts.
