Birch Tree Communities provides a full range of clinical, rehabilitative and other services aimed at encouraging members to re-enter the community with new skills. The services offered by the center include case management, group therapy, transportation assistance, family therapy, advocacy and artistic experience, outpatient psychotherapy, crisis intervention and stabilization, rehabilitative day treatment, organized outings and events, prevocational training, and medication management. It offers an arts program designed to enrich lives and achieve a wide range of therapeutic goals. Every week instruction is provided in visual arts, including painting, drawing and pottery, creative writing, photography, dramatic arts, and music. It also offers classes in bonsai gardening. Its members learn painting and drawing techniques, basic music theory, principles of dramatic production and photographic composition. Birch Tree Communities serves more than 300 members at its nine program centers.
