The Bentonville Fire Department is a full-service public safety agency that provides paramedic ambulance, vehicular rescue, and fire suppression, prevention and education services. Established in 1887, it has received Class 2 rating by the Insurance Services Office (ISO). The department also maintains a technical rescue team that has special training in a variety of areas, including water, confined space and high-angle rescue operations. The Bentonville Fire Department conducts various training classes related to injury prevention and fire safety for the citizens of the community. Its fire prevention division provides tours of fire stations and facilities, undertakes home inspections and organizes safety demonstrations. Located in Bentonville, Ark., it employs more than 75 full- and part-time officers and firefighters.
