History
The Arkansas National Guard serves part-time (one weekend per month, and two weeks in the summer) (an average of 39 days per year). Our primary mission is to protect the State of Arkansas by responding to natural disasters and security threats; while our secondary mission is to assist the Active Army. We are located in 77 communities across the State of Arkansas, and have over 150 career opportunities (Logistics, Aviation, Field Artillery, Infantry, Medical, Military Police, and Intelligence). We offer you the opportunity to serve your Community, State, and Country while going to school full-time, working, and raising a family. You are eligible to join the ARNG as a 17 year old HS Junior (with parental consent).
