American Fuel Cells and Coated Fabrics (Amfuel) is a designer and fabricator of composite material products used for the aviation, aerospace, military ground forces and commercial transport industries. The composites chiefly consist of elastomer, metal, plastics, fabric, films and adhesive to form fuel bladders for the aviation industry, insulation for rocket motors, military water and fuel logistics systems and fuel tanks for the transportation industry. Amfuel engineers solutions for containing fuel and liquids in all types of applications. The company has also developed constructions for bulk storage containers that can hold potable water, oil and fuel. These containers are made from nitrile, neoprene and urethane. The constructions also hold air, food grade material and other chemical substances. Amfuel, which has been in business for more than 60 years, is a subsidiary of Zodiac, a French corporation that serves the aerospace and marine industries.
