History
My journey from a Medical Social worker in India, to a Psychologist in the United States has exposed me to myriad national and international settings. In India, I worked for short periods of time in cancer treatment centers, substance recovery centers, and slums. In the United States, my training and post-educational experiences as a psychologist have exposed me to various settings such as psychiatric hospitals, substance recovery centers, outpatient counseling centers, Native American community work, and working at a state Prison. Currently I am in private practice. While my specialization was in Child and Adolescent Psychology, over the years, I have had equal amount of exposure and training with adult populations as well. In addition to clinical experiences, I am passionate about teaching. I have taught both graduate and undergraduate level classes, and in both American and international settings. I enjoy making material relevant to students and motivating them to learn.
