HistoryI had an interest in health and alternative medicine as a teenager. Having experienced continual side effects from prescription medications and procedures, I began a journey of investigating and learning about nutrition, science and different forms of medicine. After working in the corporate world for many years, I embarked on a new path that really matched my passion for living a natural and active lifestyle. I started studying Psychology in high school and after a couple of years of education in this field I dabbled in the arts and business and finally completed my undergraduate degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences (couldn't make up my mind!), I received a Master of Science in Oriental Medicine at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego, and did my internship at Rady Children's Hospital where I experienced first-hand the powerful effect of acupuncture on patients in the Chronic Pain and Oncology Departments.
