Established in 1955 within a modest one-room barrack at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Tombstone Federal Credit Union embarked on a journey dedicated to supporting Tucson’s airmen and their families. Initially known as DMAFB Federal Credit Union, our humble beginnings saw us serving just under 600 Members, with assets totaling less than $60,000. The late '60s marked a significant milestone as our membership soared to nearly 14 thousand, laying the foundation for the remarkable growth that would characterize our future endeavors.
Undergoing a transformation in August 2006, we adopted the name Vantage West following our transition from a federal to a state charter. Embracing expansion opportunities, Vantage West solidified its presence by merging with First Edition Community CU in 2010 and later with Tombstone Federal CU in 2014. Throughout our rapid evolution, our unwavering commitment to investing in the communities we serve remains at the heart of our operations, reinforcing our dedication to fostering financial well-being for all.
