I’ve been practicing Zen Shiatsu since receiving a diploma and certificate of excellence in 2002. Taking my path seriously, I became a Certified Practitioner of the American Organization for Bodywork Therapies of Asia (AOBTA®-CP) and a Diplomate for Asian Bodywork Therapy by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (Dipl. ABT, NCCAOM) in 2003. Since then, I’ve had much continuing eduction (including a week of intensive training at the Iokai Shiatsu Center in Tokyo), volunteered in a number of capacities for the AOBTA (currently a state representative) and the NCCAOM (as an exam development committee member), and published a few articles. Finally, I have taught many courses in Shiatsu and related subjects, and am a faculty member at the Phoenix Institute of Herbal Medicine and Acupuncture (PIHMA). So, you may have confidence in my therapies.
