Established in 1970, Scottsdale Community College is a two-year college, and one of more than nine colleges in the Maricopa Community College District in Arizona. The college has an enrollment of more than 12,000 students in credit programs and over 5,000 students in special-interest and noncredit courses. Located in Scottsdale, Ariz., it offers credit programs in several disciplines, including mathematics, science, social and behavioral sciences, English and communication, speech, and studio and performing arts, leading to associate degrees. Additionally, the college offers more than 20 career and occupational programs that include nursing, drafting, fashion merchandising, hospitality, culinary arts, administration of justice, tribal management, and computer information programs. Scottsdale Community College offers students financial aid in the form of state, federal, institutional and private loans, grants, scholarships and employment.
