Founded in 1968 and located in Tucson, Ariz., Sahuaro High School provides various educational opportunities to the students of Pima County in the state. It offers classes from grades nine through 12 and enrolls more than 1,200 students. The school is governed by Tucson Unified District. Its curriculum includes a wide range of subjects, including English, math, science, history, social science, visual and performing arts, vocational education, consumer science, physical education and elective options. The school has a parent-teacher association that organizes and supports various school events and programs. Sahuaro High School offers various extracurricular activities and operates a counseling department as well. It also provides various athletic programs, such as football, tennis, volleyball, golf, basketball, soccer and softball. The school has a fully equipped library, a media center and a computer lab.
