Planet Beach began as a tanning salon and has evolved into a day spa that offers automated spa services, teeth whitening, UV & sunless tanning. As of August 2018, the Oro Valley location is under new ownership by a long-time member. Many upgrades have been made including the addition of Hotworx (infrared heated work outs), a complete face-lift, paperless check-in system, online booking for members, a new state-of-the-art spray tanning booth and extended hours.
