Paul MacDonald, MD, is a neurologist in the Stroke Program and an associate professor of neurology at Barrow Neurological Institute. He is board certified in neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, with subspecialty certifications in vascular neurology and clinical neurophysiology. Dr. MacDonald’s expertise includes the diagnosis and treatment of stroke and other neurovascular disorders. He is a member of the American Academy of Neurology and the American Heart Association. Dr. MacDonald earned his medical degree from the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine in Tampa. He completed his neurology residency at Emory University, where he also trained as a fellow in clinical neurophysiology with an emphasis on neuromuscular disease. He later completed a fellowship in neurovascular disease at the University of Florida in Gainesville.
