The train rides are free, just need to sign a waiver for each person that rides. This is per Maricopa park district. My dad is a member there and I've rode the train as recently as February 2023....

Phoenix Kart Racing Association

HistoryPKRA built the initial track in 1982, extending it and enhancing the facility over 37 years. A number of famous drivers have driven at PKRA in their younger yearsSpecialtiesPKRA is a member operated asphalt kart track 0.7 miles and 12 turns of paved surface. It is primarily for those with their own karts, but a separate business rents karts. While some chose to attend only open practice sessions, others choose to compete in the races held every couple of weeks. We have drivers from 5 to 84 years old, with age appropriate karts for child classes. See the PKRA web site for more information, and specific hours.
