Hopi Health Care Center is located at Polacca, Ariz., and serves more than 7,000 people from various tribes including Navajo and Hopi Indians. It is a member of Critical Access Hospital and is accredited by the Joint Council on accreditation of Healthcare Organization. It provides health care services that include primary and preventive medical services. It also provides general family medical care, surgical follow-up, pediatric and obstetric services, including major trauma, acute surgical emergencies and high-risk obstetric patient services. It also offers eye clinics, dental centers and satellite clinics. Its ambulatory care setting facility offers birthing, medicine, surgery, and adult and pediatric units. It provides community services, which include public health nursing, nutritional services, social services, mental health services, substance abuse, health education and environmental health services. Hopi Health Care Center also provides services to the Piute tribal group, located in the northeast Arizona.
