The Arizona Attorney General s Office provides legal advice to various state agencies. It also investigates and prosecutes consumer fraud, white-collar and organized crime, public corruption, the deprivation of civil rights, and drug and environmental violations. The office employs more than 900 lawyers, paralegals, investigators and support personnel. The Arizona Attorney General s Office maintains a criminal division that represents the state in death penalty proceedings. It also investigates and prosecutes drug traffickers, trafficking organizations, money launderers, criminal enterprises, and cases dealing with the fraud, abuse and neglect of persons. The office also has an administrative operations division that includes facilities management and planning, budget and finance, human resources and information services.
