History
Hideout Ranch began in the foothills of Virginia's Blue Ridge Mountains as The Hideout. Raising purebred Black Angus Beef Cattle and riding horses grew into teaching people to work cattle and ride horses, which brought back memories of our experience working a guest ranch below Tucson, Arizona and running a cattle ranch in the Sulphur Springs Foothills. Deciding to return to the beautiful high desert, we were drawn to the San Bernardino Valley, wedged between the dramatic Chiricahua Mountains in Southeastern Cochise County and the more melancholy Peloncillo Mountains in Southwestern New Mexico. Hideout Ranch is ideally situated to take advantage of thousands of miles of trails in both ranges. America was discovered by settlers and adventurers seeing the mountains and canyons for the first time from horseback. At Hideout Ranch - that's how we show it to our guests.
