The Grand Canyon National Park is owned and operated by the National Park Service of the Department of the Interior, which maintains several parks and more than 400 natural, cultural and recreational sites across the United States. Founded in 1919, the park is a world heritage site that is comprised of over 1,200,000 acres of land area. The park supports junior ranger and educational programs. The Grand Canyon National Park also organizes mule and river trips, as well as hiking and camping activities. The park provides guided tours and lodging facilities. It is located in Grand Canyon, Ariz.
