Established in 1993, Friends for Life Animal Sanctuary, formerly known as Friends for Life, is a volunteer-based organization that offers rescue and housing services for homeless animals. The sanctuary is a member of the Alliance for Companion Animals, which is a coalition of more than10 animal welfare groups of Arizona. It handles over 1,200 animals annually. Friends for Life Animal Sanctuary also provides adoption services for stray animals. The sanctuary offers spaying and neutering programs for feral cats. It additionally educates people about pet overpopulation. Friends for Life Animal Sanctuary receives funds from community service providers for veterinary care, surgeries and medication. The sanctuary maintains feeding stations that provide food and water services.
