History
I worked as a paralegal in a divorce law practice prior to attending law school. For several years after law school I practiced in commercial litigation and insurance defense / construction defect cases. After going through my own divorce in 2004, I began studying family law and shifting the focus of my own practice to divorce and family law. My personal experience helped me to see this aspect of the law as both a lawyer and a client, which provided me with a better, more compassionate perspective. It also showed me how wasteful divorces can be, re-focusing me on a more cost-effective approach.
