Founded in 1920, Disabled American Veterans (DAV) is a nonprofit organization representing the nation's disabled veterans and their families. Located in Glendale, Ariz., it offers a plethora of services in the categories of vocational rehabilitation/employment, education, home loan guaranty, life insurance, death benefits, health care and more. In addition, the organization conducts information seminars, counseling and community outreach. DAV serves through a nationwide network of national/transition service offices, hospital service coordinator offices, state-level departments, voluntary service representatives and more than 1900 local DAV Chapters.
