Founded more than 30 years ago, COPE Behavioral Services is a nonprofit behavioral health organization that provides innovative solutions to community problems. The organization offers treatment and rehabilitation services that address the problems of physical and chemical abuse, general mental health and serious mental illness. COPE works collaboratively to enact sustainable solutions to personal and family problems, as well as broader community issues. The organization focuses on four support areas: equipping individuals and families with the skills and resources to effectively address behavioral health problems, creating employment opportunities for the poor and homeless, developing affordable housing for community residents, and building strategic alliance and collaborative services to address pressing community health needs. COPE Behavioral Services employs more than 325 counselors, case managers, psychologists, psychiatrists, nurses, educators, information technology experts, evaluators, administrators, and support personnel in nearly 15 sites in Tucson, Ariz.
