The Bullhead City Fire Department provides fire, rescue and emergency services to residents and businesses in Bullhead City, Ariz. Its services include fire prevention, fire suppression, inspections, dive rescues, swift water rescue, vertical rope rescue, emergency medical services, public education/training services and hazardous materials disposal. Established in 1947, the Bullhead City Fire Department operates five stations with nearly 85 career employees and approximately 12 reserve, or part-time employees. Its fleet includes seven fire engines, one ladder truck, nine ambulances, two squad vehicles, 10 staff vehicles, a hazardous materials response trailer, two dive/rescue boats and a tactical operations vehicle. Bullhead City is located on the Colorado River in Mohave County in Arizona, roughly 100 miles south of Las Vegas. It has a population of more than 30,000 residents.
