Established in 1860, Boys & Girls Clubs of America offers a range of learning and growth opportunities for children and teenagers. The club provides a variety of programs in the areas of education, environment, health, art, careers, leadership development, and alcohol, drug, pregnancy and gang prevention. It offers various sports programs, including baseball and football. The club also maintains a library and media center that features a collection of books and reference and instructional materials. It offers the Family PLUS program, which features the implementation of family support activities. In addition, Boys & Girls Clubs of America provides the Youth for Unity program, which is an educational program that is designed to combat bigotry and discrimination.
