Designed by Johnny Bulla in 1962, the Arizona Country Club in Phoenix is the second oldest club in Arizona. Tom Clark and Bill Love completed another redesign in 1986. The course remains in excellent condition because the fairways were redone in 1988. Water hazards inhibit the course and its signature hole is number 10, which is a 598-par 5, with water coming into play on the right side of the green. The Arizona Country Club hosted the Southwestern Amateur Tournament in 1994 and has also hosted past Phoenix Opens. Both the greens and the fairways are Bermuda grass. Arizona Country Club is a private club and is open all year.
