Founded in 1917, University of Alaska is a chain of three universities providing services to Alaska and surrounding areas. Located in Fairbanks, Alaska, the college provides study areas, including short-course workforce training, associate/bachelors/masters degree as well as doctorates. It provides programs, including an array of the sciences, engineering, teacher, early childhood education, business, journalism/communications, aviation and health occupations. It also offers programs in history, English, arts and humanities, among others. University of Alaska also manages several activity clubs and student organizations.
