Incorporated in May 1977, Southeast Region Emergency Medical Services Council is a non-profit, grant funded organization. Based in Sitka, Alaska, it aids in the improvement, advancement and growth of emergency medical services throughout the communities of Southeast Alaska. Additionally, the firm aids in the acquisition of medical supplies and training equipment. Southeast Region Emergency Medical Services Council provides an array of services, such as training, annual symposium, certification examination, advising, technical assistance, grants, scholarships, equipment and instructional materials, to name a few. It serves emergency medical services, fire departments and clinics throughout Sitka.
