History

The original owner opened this business in 1987 with the intention of sharing the majesty of Alaska with friends, family, and guests. We bought the business in 2018 to continue his legacy of delivering memorable Alaskan experiences.

Specialties

River Rock Lodge has three cabins located on the banks of the world famous Kenai River near Soldotna, Alaska. We offer lodging fishing packages. Our guests love the spectacular views and once in a lifetime fishing experiences!

HistoryKrog's Kamp began as a weekend get away for the owners back in 1979. After the present owners, Mel and Bob Krogseng, bought out the other partners, they decided to build accommodations so they could share their love of Alaska with visitors from around the word. The first accommodations were established in 1995 and have been maintained in a like new condition ever since. Facilties and amenities are constantly being upgraded in an endeavor to keep Krog's Kamp as a small resort with facilities and amenities second to none. Today, Krog's Kamp can accommodate 40 - 50 people in the 11 chalets and cabins currently on the property.
