AERO-METRIC, Anchorage Division is a geographic information and mapping sciences company focused on the earth's surface. From data acquired using land, airborne and satellite sensors the company defines the earth's topographic shape and identifies and measures its natural and man-made features. Projects have been done throughout Alaska, the lower 48 states, Canada, Latin America, the Caribbean basin, and several countries of the former USSR. AERO-METRIC, Anchorage Division offers aerial photography with airborne global positioning system and Applanix inertial measurement unit positioning, remote sensing data acquisition, satellite and airborne sensor image processing, digital orthophotos and topographic mapping, geographic information system services including analysis and data population, geodetic surveying, historical film reproduction and custom software development. The company organizes geographic information for individuals, energy and exploration companies, engineering consultants, businesses, military and civilian government agencies and world organizations. AERO-METRIC, Anchorage Division was formed in 1988 through the merger of Air Photo Tech, founded 1960, and North Pacific Aerial Surveys, founded 1972.
